BCCI provided preconstruction and construction services for the relocation of Stanford Health Care’s Technology and Operations teams to the renovated Palo Alto Tech Center. The base building and tenant improvements comprised seven buildings; five single-story and two two-story. The scope included demolition back to the core with the addition of new rooftop-mounted mechanical units to serve an entirely new building mechanical distribution system. New electrical, plumbing, and life safety upgrades were also made in each of the buildings to support the tenant improvements.

The interiors introduced a modern design with bright colors, more efficient workspaces, and open, collaborative spaces. In addition to the phased construction of the office build-outs, a full-service café was constructed to provide convenience and healthy meal options for employees. The renovated campus creates a consistent look and feel from building to building and a new way of working for Stanford’s team.
