Our team was selected as the general contractor for the renovation of intellectual property law firm Fish & Richardson’s Silicon Valley office. Located on two floors in a mid-rise building, we partnered closely with the architecture firm from the onset of the project. As a result of extensive scope and budgetary amendments early on, a design-assist approach was adopted to meet the client’s expectations and schedule requirements. Our team’s active involvement during design led to cost savings for the client and enhanced the relationship and collaboration with the design team. It also allowed us to manage quality more closely by providing workable, field-based solutions. The refreshed office, which comprises private offices, conference and meeting spaces, phone and focus rooms, a mother’s room, and a pantry/break area, has an updated, professional aesthetic with nods to Redwood City’s logging and railroad history. The project was completed on time in two phases and delivered flawlessly with a zero punch at move-in.
