After completing the core and shell construction for the new ground up office development 85 Bluxome, BCCI was tasked with building five floors of tenant space for Collective Health, a technology driven healthcare company. Looking to relocate the majority of its employees from San Mateo to the new SoMa location, the building offers large floorplates; proximity to public transit; secured bicycle storage; shower and changing rooms; a 5th floor terrace; and a 2,300 square-foot roof deck with spectacular city views.

Four floors of interiors build-out comprise open office space, conference rooms, phone rooms, and break areas, and a large café on the first floor doubles as an all-hands meeting space. To support the client’s green building goals and reduce the concentration of chemical contaminants, an indoor air quality plan was implemented and low emitting materials were selected for interior finishes. To ensure residents in neighboring condo buildings were not disturbed during construction, BCCI’s team had an open dialogue with HOA board members to advise them of project milestones and to inform them of any potential disruptive work. Additionally while the tenant improvements were underway, permits were secured for a new rooftop 250kW generator. Working together with the design and construction management team, BCCI built a functional and sophisticated space to accommodate Collective Health’s growing workforce.
