BCCI Construction was selected for the renovation of two, two-story buildings to accommodate Boston Scientific’s Bay Area Regional Hub. The new San Jose campus combines the company’s former Fremont, Los Gatos, and San Jose facilities. Each building comprises improvements over two floors including laboratory, product development and manufacturing space, clean rooms, a data center, a connecting bridge and exterior vertical lift module enclosures for storage.

In an effort to control costs upfront, our team completed early demolition to uncover any unforeseen conditions. This allowed the MEP teams to do extensive above ceiling surveys before drawings were completed. We were able to find cost savings through value engineering for both the lighting and flooring packages. Utilizing a staggered start approach for construction, the project was completed in two phases while the buildings were occupied. Additionally, the project is LEED-NC Silver certified and registered for WELL v2 Pilot certification.
