BCCI was selected to construct Pac-12 Networks’ new innovative production headquarters at Bishop Ranch. The project, which included cutting-edge recording studios, nine control rooms, a command center, large bullpen areas for graphics and replay, flexible workspace, and meeting rooms, was not without its challenges. However, our upfront collaboration and coordination played a crucial role in procuring long lead items early, managing logistics and deliveries, and maintaining the overall schedule to meet the multimedia company’s on-air date in the new space. Structural enhancements, such as upgrading the slab and providing bracing, were required to accommodate all the heavy equipment and hardware needed for live stream production. A crane lift was used to hoist new mechanical units onto the rooftop, as well as lift other materials into the building. The fit-out also included acoustical spray insulation and panels to absorb sound and a 350 kVA UPS system to ensure seamless operations.
