When Trinity Industries relocated its Dallas operations to five floors at International Plaza II, the company was inspired to target the International WELL Building Institute’s (IWBI) WELL Health-Safety Rating. Our sustainability team partnered with Trinity to provide sustainability consulting services and navigate the new Health-Safety system, while our sister company, Structure Tone Southwest provided general contractor services.
The WELL Health-Safety Rating prioritizes health and safety in a post-COVID-19 environment, and it focuses on operational policies, maintenance protocols, emergency plans, and stakeholder education to address broader health and safety issues.
Trinity’s new, modern office was designed to reinforce and support its shift in strategic focus as well as provide areas of collaboration and separation. Each floor includes open office pods and support spaces, while private workspaces, perimeter offices, conference rooms, and huddle spaces provide areas of concentration and decrease exposure.
The headquarters is the first in Dallas to achieve the Health-Safety seal, providing employees with added confidence during the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond that, proper steps are being taken to support their health and wellness.
