BCCI Construction was hired for the phased refresh and rebrand of three existing mid-rise office buildings at Verizon Media’s Sunnyvale campus. The project scope included interior demolition in all three buildings, open office upgrades, a new 2,400 square foot wellness center, a cafeteria expansion, and new R&D electrical labs.During construction, existing spaces on the ground floor of each building remained occupied. The project was significantly value-engineered to ensure that the client’s budgetary goals were met. Cost-effective material options were proposed to maintain the design intent, and BCCI’s project team worked closely with Gensler as design elements were refined concurrently with construction. The collaborative team approach ensured the project was completed on schedule, and the client’s first day of business dates were met for each phase.
