With the intention of expanding their footprint to Silicon Valley, Dropbox leased a 33,570-square foot building near public transit in Mountain View, California. As general contractor, BCCI Construction was hired for the multi-phased, design-build MEP renovation of two full floors of interior office space, including selective demolition, new partitions, restrooms, millwork, and finishes throughout. Working in approximately 5,000 sf of occupied space, BCCI worked closely with Dropbox to value engineer through phases 1, 2 & 3 allowing flexibility for the client based on budget and scheduling needs. The tenant improvements included open office areas, phone room, huddle rooms, conference rooms, break rooms, gender neutral restrooms and collaboration spaces. Unique features include curved ceiling and wall soffits, polished concrete in common areas, exposed ductwork and hardwood flooring.
