The San Francisco Redevelopment Agency hired BCCI Construction for the revitalization of this 100-year old historic structure located along the South Beach harbor of San Francisco. The scope of work included specialized underwater marine engineering to repair the underdeck, beautification of the west and south wall façades of the Pier 40 shed, and structural repairs to the north and east sides of the building. The south side features a city-mandated perimeter public access walkway with embedded remnants of an original cable car track-rail in the deck. Additional improvements to the structure include new ipe wood doors, an ornamental entrance gate, paved walkways, and new tenant signage.

“Our experience working with BCCI on this complex and challenging project was extremely positive. BCCI’s team had a clear approach to the project, and their effective collaboration with subcontractors and the design team resulted in a high-quality project that the owner, the architect, and the contractor can all be proud of.”
