BCCI was brought on board by Vornado Realty Trust to renovate the building lobby of 315 Montgomery Street, a fully occupied 16-story office tower in the Financial District which was originally built in 1922. BCCI’s team worked hand-in-hand with building management to develop intricate phasing and coordination plans so that tenant access was not disrupted during construction.

Restoration of the historic ceiling revealed that abatement was required. An isolated dance floor was put into containment while the abatement work was completed which created a clean and safe environment so that tenants and visitors could still access the lobby. After abatement was complete, all new stone flooring and new entry doors were installed. The refreshed lobby accentuates the building’s historic elements while modern touches and colors to create an elegant entry into the classic building. Additionally, new exterior lighting was added to highlight the building façade.
