
BCCI was selected to provide general contractor services to transform a vacant floor in the landmark office tower 525 Market into a new luxury amenity space, The Cove. Conceived as a vibrant hub for social connection, wellness, and productivity, the multifunctional amenity floor is an investment in tenant experience and workplace culture. Our team was brought in during design development to help bring this ambitious vision to life through precise construction planning, value-driven solutions, and an unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
From the outset, we worked closely with the client and design teams, providing critical insights through iterative budgets and pricing of alternates to align the project scope with the financial goals, without compromising quality. Long-lead materials, such as custom millwork and integrated lighting systems, were ordered based on 50% construction documents. This proactive procurement strategy kept the project on schedule. Demolition began while the building permit was under review, allowing the team to uncover hidden conditions, address structural or system conflicts, and adjust construction activities as needed. The build-out was fully engineered and executed as a single phase. All high-noise work was completed after hours to minimize disruption to adjacent tenants, demonstrating respect for existing occupants and building operations.
The Cove offers a diverse mix of thoughtfully curated spaces that promote connection, creativity, and well-being. Amenities include a welcome lounge and bar, café, speakeasy, game room, podcast studio, pre-function space, private training and conference rooms, and a fully equipped fitness center with showers, locker rooms, sauna, and wellness rooms. Every square foot reflects a commitment to innovation, comfort, and craftsmanship.
