Working closely with the development team, we provided conceptual architectural design and preconstruction services for the redevelopment of the Globe Theatre, a historically significant 11-story building located in the downtown Los Angeles Theater District. Our design support included seismic upgrades, new building cores and internal circulation, ADA upgrades, and full code analysis to convert the structures into a two-floor retail environment with nine floors of multifamily above. In addition to surveying the existing building conditions, we provided full preconstruction services including budget development, scheduling, site logistics, and constructability analysis to inform the team on how to work within the neo classical envelope.
