Our team completed renovations for dining destination Capri at Eataly Los Angeles in the Westfield Century City Shopping Center while the restaurant and wine store remained open and operational. The refresh was the first of many partial restaurant upgrades planned at Eataly locations throughout the United States. Staying on budget and minimizing the impact to store revenue was critical to the project’s success.

All construction was completed after hours. The improvements included demolishing an existing kitchen, installing a new wall front above an active kitchen, new custom millwork, display shelves, and restaurant seating, new lighting around an active pizza oven, a new sink and glasswashing station for a new wine bar, and modifications in the wine store. To isolate the existing ANSUL system and reroute refrigeration lines, the project team coordinated access to the floor below with adjacent tenant Macy’s, Eataly’s store team, and Westfield’s engineering staff. Despite unexpected conditions discovered during demolition, our team’s commitment and the commitment of our subcontractors allowed the project to finish as planned before the Memorial Day weekend.
