Our team worked closely with Google’s various user groups and consultants on this fully integrated design-build project, including office and amenity space, a Google Store, a gym facility, and a One Medical wellness center with a lab for blood work and patient rooms. In addition to the interior improvements, upgrades to the site and building included seismic reinforcement, water infrastructure upgrades, PG&E infrastructure upgrades, a new roof, and environmental soils mitigation. Demolition and seismic work were completed early to uncover unforeseen conditions, which allowed our team to collaborate with the MEP subcontractors and propose cost-effective solutions. With construction occurring during the pandemic, work was completed with enhanced COVID-19 safety protocols. The synergy and team approach to this project among BCCI, HGA, Google, One Medical, and the subcontractors led to a flawless project delivery and a zero punch list.
